The food here is legit. I ordered off the menu and not the made-for-order combos and it was quite respectable. The black bean and oyster sauces, as well as won ton soup were quite delicious. They even had real chopsticks and not the disposable wooden ones. There's only two tables though, so if you're planning to eat in the max group size is six or seven.

I love trying some of the Chef's Special dishes! This is my favorite place in Kitimat to eat Western Chinese food. Some of my favorite dishes are the Singapore Noodle, Catonese Noodles, Schezwan Vegetables, ginger beef, ginger chicken, amd sweet and sour spare ribs. Cant wait to try more!

I sincerely think fortune kitchen in kitimat has the best quality and portions designated in kitimat and anywhere across Canada. We have eaten western style Chinese food across bc and Canada as far away as nfld. By far it beats anything we've eaten elsewhere. Their portions are great and the food incredible comparing to what we've experienced across Canada in many provinces. It totally outlets in all aspects, the chop sue kitchen in kitimat and many other places we've eaten in bc and many other provinces in Canada. The owners are awesome and their services top knotch!

Fortune Kitchen, nestled in the heart of Kitimat at 410 Enterprise Ave, offers an authentic taste of Chinese cuisine that truly stands out in the local dining scene. Known for its vibrant flavors and traditional preparation methods, this Chinese restaurant has become a staple for both longtime residents and newcomers seeking hearty, familiar dishes.

The menu highlights at Fortune Kitchen showcase a rich variety of classics elevated with skill and care. The BBQ Ribs Chow Mein is a definite crowd-pleaser, perfectly balancing smoky, tender ribs with stir-fried noodles that carry just the right wok hei — that unmistakable smoky char that defines great Cantonese cooking. The Spring Rolls offer a crisp, golden bite that complements the saucier entrees beautifully.

Equally impressive is the Ginger Fried Chicken, which combines a succulent, crispy texture with aromatic ginger notes that invigorate the palate. The Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs capture the essence of traditional Western Chinese flavors — tangy, sweet, and deeply savory. Meanwhile, the Cantonese Chow Mein continues to delight with its delicate yet distinct seasoning and fresh ingredients.

Customer feedback reinforces the genuine quality found here. Steve from BC emphasizes the authenticity of the Cantonese style, even though the restaurant primarily serves takeout and delivery. Dylan praises the wok hei in the Special Fried Rice and the perfectly battered Almond Chicken, highlighting the care that goes into each dish. The addition of real chopsticks noted by Antony adds a thoughtful touch to the experience, and Sarah’s enthusiasm for the Chef’s Specials like Singapore Noodle and Schezwan Vegetables underlines the kitchen's versatility and mastery of Western Chinese flavors.

It is clear that Fortune Kitchen is more than just a quick meal stop. The consistent quality, rich flavors, and attention to detail make it a go-to spot in Kitimat, especially for those craving genuine Chinese comfort food. Though seating is limited and the emphasis is on takeout, the overall experience more than compensates — offering dishes that satisfy both the soul and the taste buds with every order.
